EXPLORING THE LINE | Exploration #48: Finder Exploration

In this exploration of Keri Smith’s How to Be an Explorer of the World we were given a view finder to look through and make quick compositions of things that are unrecognizable at such a zoomed in range. I drew thumbnails of spaces I visited on the Line. Let’s see if you can identify:

Pieces of these images are recognizable. However, it is safe to that in general, what think you are looking at while you are up close is not what it actually is. Also, these thumbnails were simply line drawings and gave no hint to the actual shading and texture of the image. The point of this exploration is the view a space from a different perspective. Everything changes when you look at it in a different way. Here is a good website to test your ability to recognize objects from zoomed-in views.
